Chalking up a success

It's always sad to see the breakdown of a show, but VIV Asia came to an end with a great degree of satisfaction among exhibitors.

Visitor numbers as of March 11 totaled 8,669, with half coming from Thailand and the other half from overseas. Anecdotal evidence from the show floor would suggest numbers were down slightly on last year but, importantly, all the key decision makers were there.

In comparison to the rest of the world, the Asian economy is performing relatively well. While far from a scientific conclusion, this, added to the fact decision makers came to the show, and the general look of contentment at show breakdown, would suggest that VIV Asia 2009 was a success.
