The Animal Agriculture Environmental Sustainability Summit is drawing good attendance this afternoon at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
Pictured is speaker Dennis Treacy, Smithfield Foods, who said a new definition of agriculture is needed that includes retailers, restaurants, packing companies and farmers.
Bringing all these elements into alignment with consumer demand will bring success for the agricultural industry, Treacy said.
The Summit is being held in conjunction with the International Poultry Expo and International Feed Expo, which opens tomorrow at the GWCC.
